Alongside his coaching and facilitation work, he practises as a Supervised Counsellor & Psychotherapist, working primarily with adults who appear high-functioning on the outside yet feel overwhelmed, isolated, burnt-out, or stuck on the inside.
His work is shaped by more than two decades of senior leadership experience in global organisations, as well as his own lived experience of burnout, addiction, and recovery. Nick has a particular heart for leaders, professionals, and their families who carry significant responsibility while quietly struggling with burnout, anxiety, depression, addiction, compulsive behaviours, relationship strain, or a loss of purpose.
Nick is currently completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling at The School of Positive Psychology in Singapore. His approach integrates evidence-based coaching with psychological principles drawn from humanistic and existential therapies, cognitive-behavioural and solution-focused approaches, and positive psychology. His work is always tailored to the individual and grounded in a holistic lens that integrates physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual wellbeing, reflected in his 5 Steps to Holistic Leadership™ framework: Surrender, Purpose, Connection, Goals, and Discipline.
He is Belbin Team Roles Certified, Team Psychological Safety Certified, and Certified Sober Coach through The Sober Club UK. With a strong background in senior executive and board-level roles spanning general management, entrepreneurship, sales, and business development, Nick brings a rare combination of lived experience and elite mentorship, including John Mattone, coach of Steve Jobs.
Central to Nick’s work is authentic connection. He co-founded EGN in South East Asia (part of Vistage) and now serves as an advisor, supporting its mission of “Making Each Other Better.” His bestselling book, Executive Loneliness: The 5 Pathways to Overcoming Isolation, Stress, Anxiety & Depression in the Modern Business World, is a #1 international bestseller and has helped open global conversations about mental health in leadership.
In addition to his professional work, Nick is an active member of the 12-step recovery community and has attended and supported more than 1,000 recovery meetings. He volunteers and fundraises for SOS Samaritans, contributes to suicide-prevention efforts, and leads a men’s support group—creating safe spaces for honest conversation, connection, and healing.
