Sobriety & Recovery
Recovery isn't about losing something. It's about rediscovering yourself.
Many people quietly struggle with habits that once helped them cope but are now holding them back.
It might be alcohol.
Prescription medication.
Recreational drugs.
Smoking.
Or another behaviour that's slowly taking more than it's giving.
You don't need to hit rock bottom before asking for help.
Whether your goal is to cut back, take a break or embrace long-term sobriety, I'll meet you where you are and support you without judgement.
Together, we'll create a practical, personalised path towards greater freedom, clarity and a life you no longer feel the need to escape from.
Is This You?
Many of the people I work with are successful professionals, business owners and leaders.
From the outside, life appears to be going well.
Behind closed doors, it can feel very different.
You may recognise yourself if you:
Rely on alcohol or another substance to relax or switch off.
Feel you've lost control over a habit.
Have tried to cut back but keep returning to old patterns.
Worry about the impact on your health, relationships or career.
Feel guilty after drinking or using.
Want to feel more present with your family.
Wonder whether life could be better without alcohol or another unhealthy habit.
Simply know that something needs to change.
You don't need a diagnosis.
You don't need to reach crisis point.
You simply need to be ready for an honest conversation.
Recovery Is About More Than Quitting
Recovery isn't simply about removing alcohol or another substance.
It's about understanding why it became important in the first place and creating healthier ways to meet those needs.
Together we'll work on:
Understanding Triggers
Recognising the situations, emotions and thought patterns that keep unhealthy behaviours alive.
Building Healthier Coping Strategies
Learning practical ways to manage stress, anxiety, loneliness and emotional pressure without relying on substances.
Rebuilding Relationships
Repairing trust, improving communication and reconnecting with the people who matter most.
Creating New Habits
Replacing old routines with healthier behaviours that support your physical and emotional wellbeing.
Rediscovering Purpose
Recovery creates space to reconnect with your values, your identity and the life you genuinely want to build.
Preventing Relapse
Developing practical tools and ongoing accountability that support lasting change, even when life becomes challenging.
My Approach
Recovery is never one-size-fits-all.
My work combines professional counselling and psychotherapy, addiction-specific training, behavioural change strategies and my own lived experience of long-term recovery.
Every journey is different.
Whether you're exploring moderation, taking a break or committing to lifelong sobriety, our work will be tailored to your goals, circumstances and pace.
Why This Work Matters to Me
In 2018, I made one of the most important decisions of my life.
I stopped drinking.
That decision transformed far more than my relationship with alcohol.
It changed my health.
My relationships.
My purpose.
And ultimately, the work I now dedicate my life to.
Today, I combine lived recovery with professional training in psychotherapy, addiction recovery and behavioural change to support others on their own journey.
I understand both the science of recovery and the reality of living it.

Are You a Grey Zone Drinker?
You don’t need to hit rock bottom for alcohol to be holding you back. Many executives and professionals live in the “grey zone” — not addicted, but not fully in control either.
Signs you may be in the grey zone:
Waking up at 3 AM regretting “just a few drinks”
Promising moderation, only to overdo it again
Worrying that cutting back might hurt your social or business life
Starting strong on a break, only to slip back
Sending messages or emails after drinks you wish you could take back
Feeling drained, foggy, or out of alignment even after reducing
If this sounds familiar, sober coaching can help you find a better balance — on your terms.
What You’ll Gain
Nick’s clients often notice powerful shifts within weeks:
Better sleep and consistent energy
Sharper focus and decision-making clarity
Improved relationships built on trust and presence
Higher productivity and creativity at work
Emotional balance and reduced stress
Healthier, longer life with stronger habits
A richer quality of life aligned with values and purpose
This isn’t about restriction — it’s about freedom, clarity, and choice.
